Job Description
Operates CT equipment, prepares patients for exams, obtains diagnostic information, supports image reconstruction and physician interpretation.
Responsibilities
Prepares and screens patients; obtains IV contrast consent; performs CT procedures including abdominal/thoracic/neuro/extremity and biopsy/planning exams; enters patient history; adjusts scan parameters; calculates scans; follows CTDI parameters; administers IV/oral contrast and handles contrast reactions/extravasation.
Qualifications
Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program required. NYS Radiologic Technologist licensure with IV contrast certification required. ARRT CT registration required within 18 months. BLS/BCLS required. CT experience preferred; CT equipment/protocol knowledge required.
