Job Description
Interprets, compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies; fills prescriptions and enters drug orders into computer profiles.
Responsibilities
Dispenses inpatient medications; documents non-formulary/restricted/unusual orders; reviews orders for completeness/interactions/incompatibilities; consults prescribers; compounds IV/parenteral mixtures; maintains controlled substance documentation; generates labels; orders and checks medications/supplies.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Pharmacy required. Current New York State Pharmacist license required plus specialized certifications as needed. 1-3 years relevant experience required.
