Job Description
Operates MRI equipment, prepares patients for examination, ensures diagnostic information is available, and supports patient flow, reconstruction and PACS transmission.
Responsibilities
Screens patients; checks creatinine/GFR; reviews screening forms; prepares patients and obtains contrast consent; performs MRI exams; positions patients and selects coils; transmits cases; administers contrast and treats contrast reactions/extravasation. Shift mainly Sundays 7:30a-4p with weekday evenings and Saturdays as needed.
Qualifications
Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program required. NYS Radiologic Technologist license with IV contrast certification required. ARRT required. MRI RT(MR)(ARRT) required within 18 months. BLS/BCLS required. Prior radiology experience required; MRI preferred.
Schedule / Shift
Per diem — Mainly Sundays 7:30a-4p; evenings/Saturdays as needed
